Τι θα κάνετε

Trek to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, on this two-day journey. The ascent doesn’t involve climbing and is designed for keen walkers, but it does involve some easy scrambling and snow slopes.

The tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Marrakesh, and includes transport to and from the mountain town of Imlil. We’ll trek with an experienced local guide, a local cook, and mules to carry our luggage.

Definitely make sure to bring your camera—the views from the summit are spectacular.

We are Lahcen Igdem and Hamid Jelah, lahcen Ame, Brahim,Mustapha, your guides during your adventure . We are based in Imlil, near Marrakech and we speak English, French, Spanish and Arabic.

We are fully certified Mountain Guides and have over than 15 years of experience in the High Atlas Mountains range and the desert. We are graduates of the training center for Mountain Guides in Morocco (Centre de Formation Aux Metiers de Montagne CFAMM). We are graduates of the Federation Royale de Ski et Montagne .

We are good listeners. Understanding people is an important skill in the wilds.

L'ascension du Toubkal est une expérience de plus qu'offre le Maroc ! L'organisation de Lahcen et de son équipe est parfaite. Les conditions (repas, nuit au refuge) sont très bonnes. La dernière étape de l'ascension (du refuge au sommet) n'est pas une simple randonnée mais n'impose pas non plus d'être un alpiniste chevronné ! Privilégier l'ascension en hiver pour profiter du lever de soleil depuis le sommet et le plaisir d'arriver crampons au pied ! Une excellente aventure !

We had a wonderful time on our trek up Mount Toubkal. Our guide Hamid was extremely knowledgable and looked after us every step of the way. On the first morning we were picked up from the centre of Marrakech and driven straight to the start of our walk at Imlil. Here we met our guides for the trek and set off on our walk to base camp. The climb wasn't too steep but was a little challenging given the altitude. We stopped off halfway for a fresh orange juice which was lovely! Upon arrival as base camp we were treated to a delightful lunch. A constant theme of the trip was the high quality and large quantities of food that were provided for us. My wife and I have specific dietary requirements which were not a problem. After plenty of rest that evening (and more food), we set off at 5am in the morning for our final ascent. The snow fall the night before made it slow going at times but created an even more magical experience. We reached the top just after sunrise and took plenty of pictures at the summit before making our way back down to base camp and finally, back to Imlil. We would definitely recommend this experience!!

The hike to Toubkal was fantastic. Hamid was a wonderful guide. He answered all questions with humor and patience. The food we ate along the way was delicious, fresh and healthy. During more challenging parts of the trail, Hamid offered advice and physical assistance. He also did a good job of estimating our pace and abilities, resulting in good timing in reaching the peak for the sunrise. Lastly, as a woman traveling alone (somewhat nervously), I felt completely safe and supported. I could not recommend this excursion more. I hope to return for more hikes with Hamid in the future!

Magnifique expérience durant deux jours ! Nous étions un groupe de trois avec pour ambition d’aller au sommet du mont toubkal, ce qui a été chose faite ! Lahcen notre guide a été très attentionné dans la montée ainsi que dans la descente pour que tout le monde ce sente en sécurité et évolue à son rythme. De manière général une bonne condition physique est nécessaire pour profiter de ces deux jours mais l’ascension en elle même est relativement simple.

We had such a great time with the best guide Hamid and we enjoyed every minute of this trip. Also food prepared by the other Hamid was delicous and made Toubkal hike even more perfect. Thank you for this experience!

Niveau organisation Top du top ! Rien à dire tout à été parfait, ils nous ont envoyé un taxi pour l'aller et le retour, on avait prévu absolument aucun équipement et ils avaient le nécessaire, l'organisateur Lahcen nous a arrangé sur le prix de la location. La cuisine était parfaite. Notre guide était Lahcen (un autre), grâce à lui nous avons réussi à aller jusqu'au sommet, il a veillé à notre sécurité et nous a accompagné à notre rythme. Nous étions un petit groupe de 4 incluant le guide. C'était une magnifique expérience que je n'oublierai jamais et c'est grâce à eux.
