Τι θα κάνετε
You'll step out of the everyday and into the past the moment we enter the oldest little residential side street in America. There you will discover layers of history and quirky stories in a setting that will have you dreaming of moving out of your home and into this real-life 18th century version of Tiny House Nation. Next we will walk along the streets of Old City to visit the Betsy Ross house. There, you'll encounter a Betsy Ross that is even stronger and more accomplished than the version of her you encountered in your history books. On the way to historic sweets we will visit the building that was once the tallest in the Colonies, find out what made it "the place to see and be seen" in the 18th century and discover what Ben Franklin and a lottery have to do with it. Next, your tastebuds smile - we visit sweet shops that have been delighting Philadelphians for generations and discover their colorful stories. On our way to one more sweet stop, we will see notes set in stone written between Ben Franklin and his wife; the house of a famous artist (and you'll find out that you actually own some of his best work!) an art deco architectural treasure standing in the shadow of Independence Hall. Oh, and a hidden garden. Last stop? Chocolate heaven! Bring an appetite for stories and sweets!

Seeing visitors' eyes light up at the sight of all that is amazing about Philadelphia is a real joy to witness and an experience I love creating for my guests. I'm a Licensed Washington, DC and NYC Sightseeing Guide who is Certified here in Philadelphia by TripSchool, an organization committed to excellence. I love sharing the history, stories, quirks, beauty and larger-than-life aspects of this amazing city. I've traveled all over the world as a writer and educator and Philadelphia is one of the cities my heart calls home. Ready to explore, discover & taste the sweet side of Philly? Let's go! Prefer a tour customized to your interests beyond the Historic Mile? Let’s do! Happy to guide your group or family in Spanish if you prefer!
