You're looking at a lovely 1.5 bedroom apartment which oozes with distinctive charm. It is situated on the second floor of a 1906 Dutch Colonial four-plex. Close to the best of everything in SLC.

Here is a nice, spacious apartment which you will have all to yourself.

This apartment is ideal for someone who appreciates unique details, and prefers a space which has been around long enough to accrue a unique character. It overlooks an urban garden next door and Liberty Park just down the street. The spacious covered porch is a fantastic vantage point for watching storms. The living and bed rooms offer wonderful views of the garden and the park.

The apartment has been lovingly and artfully renovated, making the most of colorful patinas the original surfaces have accrued over the years. You can almost read the story of the space by looking it's walls.

It is tastefully and comfortably furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen. There is plenty of storage to make extended stays easy. Full size bed with padded damask pattern headboard. WiFi and a 32" smart TV.

I lived in this very apartment from 1998 till this year, finally making the move to a home with my family. It is now rented to visitors like you for short or long term stays; you will have the entire space to yourself for the duration of your stay.

This is one of the most conveniently located neighborhoods in SLC for accessing all of the great amenities of the city. Great coffee shops, restaurants, yoga and pilates studios, and Trolley Square Mall are all within walking distance. A renowned local chocolatier is located around the corner. There are many organic and ethnic specialty grocers located very close by.

The Downtown Library, one of the finest in the nation, is five blocks away. Mass transit is within 100 yards, and of course the fabulous Liberty Park is a stones throw down the street. The University of Utah is less than a 10 minute drive or quick bus ride.

The area is lively and energetic, but the house is located on a quiet, low traffic street. There will be a Guest Guide kept in the apartment, which describes many of the areas attractions, and has some of my personal recommendations for good measure ;-)

Thanks for taking the time to delve into all the details of my listing!

The building you're looking at was my primary residence from 1998 till this summer, when my family moved into a new home. It also housed my art studio, as well as serving as the canvas for many of our most significant life events.

When it came time to renovate after we moved out, I was committed to honoring the experiences we shared, as well as those of all the people who have occupied the space over the years. Much original material was painstakingly removed during the process, then re-purposed in creative ways back into the space, or integrated into my own mixed media artwork. Many of these pieces now adorn the interior.

I love to travel for pleasure and education, as well as to exhibit in art shows. I've been reserving places to stay through airbnb for several years, and wouldn't travel any other way. It is always a pleasure to meet hosts who can offer insight on a city I have yet to get to know, and to stay at place which has been well tended and well loved enough to feel like home.

As a host now myself, my intention is provide that kind of experience for you.
