Room #4 is a large room on the top floor (up 2 sets of stairs) of the Guesthouse. It has 1 queen bed and 1 single bed and carries a max capacity of 2 people. It has 2 large windows, small desk & chair, large closet, an upholstered chair and ample floor space. One bath, with large, walk-in shower, and one 1/2 bath are on this floor, too. We offer European-style accommodations for the budget minded, independent traveler. Our facilities include 4 private and comfortable bedrooms that share 2 full and one 1/2 baths. Ideally located in the heart of Portland’s most charming and vibrant neighborhood, travelers can easily walk to myriad shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Japanese Garden and Washington Park, or hike over 40 miles of trails in Portland’s Forest Park, the largest natural urban park in the US. Portland International Guesthouse is just a short walk to the Portland Streetcar and MAX light rail with direct service to the airport and 1 block from two bus lines serving downtown. The Portland International Guesthouse consistently ranks as one of the most highly rated guesthouses in Portland.

Our facility is entirely non-smoking/no vaping. That includes anything with a flame - i.e., candles, incense, etc. Due to the nature of the guesthouse, we do not allow pets or children under 5.

In our new breakfast/common room, we provide guests with coffee, tea, milk, juice, bread and cereal. Though there is no stove for cooking, our breakfast/common room is equipped with comfy tables & chairs, a microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle and a refrigerator. Guests are welcome to store food in the fridge.

The Guesthouse provides free WiFi. We are steps away from a Trader Joe's market in addition to myriad cafes and restaurants. All linens, towels, pillows, etc. are provided. Guests will find a hairdryer in each bath.

Room #4 is the largest bedroom in our Guesthouse and is a favorite of our repeat guests. Being on the top floor (up 2 sets of stairs) there are no rooms above you. Our new breakfast/common room is on this floor, too.

The Guesthouse is located in Portland's historic Alphabet District also known as Nob Hill. Our neighborhood is the city's most charming and vibrant. We are within walking distance or a short transit ride Downtown, the Pearl District, Powell's Books and most of Portland's major cultural institutions.

One can meander through the neighborhood streets lined with Victorian homes, NW 23rd and 21st Avenues lined with shops and restaurants or walk up to Washington Park and the amazing Japanese Gardens. From there, it is possible to access over 40 miles of hiking trails.

Some of the Portland's best restaurants, coffee houses and cinemas are only a few blocks away.
