Set in a C15th cider orchard, The Weaving Workshop is 2 miles from the coast and River Dart. It is a detached wooden framed studio with a rustic/contemporary feel. Nearby - Stoke Gabriel, Totnes, Dartmoor, SW coast path and beaches.

Inside, The Weaving Workshop is light and bright with an exposed wooden pegged frame structure. It has a glamping style kitchen area with 2 portable hobs, an ensuite shower room and open plan living and sleeping space with antique and one off pieces of furniture.

Ο χώρος
Outside The Weaving Workshop there is a garden/patio in the orchard for you to relax in which looks over the flax beds which Susie and David plant, harvest and process for Susie to spin into linen before weaving it into her artwork and cushions. It’s amazing to see the vivid blue flax flowers in the summer.

Close by is a supermarket, and excellent restaurants in Totnes, Dartmouth and Brixham. Stoke Gabriel on the River Dart is a few minutes drive away with its two pubs, a cafe and riverside walks.

David and Susie love nothing better than helping people discover the fabulous coastline, river estuaries and natural world here in their South Devon back yard. Over the last 10 years David and Susie have enjoyed many Sea kayaking paddling adventures in South West England, Scotland, the Outer Hebrides and Anglesey as well as further a field in Greece, Croatia and Nova Scotia. They are often found during the winter months paddling in the warm waters of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. David is a British Canoeing qualified Sea Kayak Leader and Sea Kayak coach and Susie has many years experience Sea kayaking around the South Devon Coastline and river estuaries. Susie is a textile artist with a weaving workshop set in their 15th century Farm House orchard. Susie and David grow flax from seed in their orchard which they harvest and process for Susie to hand spin into linen. They then colour the hanks of linen using natural dyes and Susie weaves them into her contemporary woven linen artwork and cushions. Occasionally, Susie and David put on flax processing, spinning and weaving course where students learn how to process and spin flax to make a small hank of linen then weave a cushion cover or artwork.
