What to do around Bargara and Bundy??
For one, the turtles at Mon Repos are excitingly close to us! Bargara's serene beaches, the fascinating turtle rookery Mon Repos, a game of golf, snorkeling, diving, cafes, restaurants shops including Aldi and Woolworths - all at your doorstep!!
Wanting to explore on bike? We have some bikes + helmets waiting for you. There is a lovely cycle track all the way to Burnett Heads. If you have a perfect fitting helmet at home, please bring along.
Ride your own PMD (personal mobility device) through the spectacular coastal trails, discovering the Mon Repos Conservation Park and historic features. There are 2 tours available. One is the Turtle Trail Eco tour and the other a Sunset Tapas tour.
Alexandria Park: located in Bundaberg along the river it houses a playground and a delightful small zoo. Easy walking and lovely environment for the entire family to enjoy. Better still: it is free of charge.

Lady Elliott Island: If you would like to fly over, please also book at least 1 month in advance as space is limited.
Lady Musgrave Island: There is also a catamaran designed for snorkelling and diving that leaves from Bundaberg.

Snorkeling /Diving if you can't make it to the islands:
Barolin Rock and Woongarra Marine Park are two of the most exciting spots to explore what lies below the waves.
Cochrane Artificial Reef in Woongarra Marine Park offers a variety of sites just off the coast from Bargara, Elliot Heads or Riverview in the Bundaberg region. Explore the 33 metre wreck 'Ceratadus II' (Sand Dredge), two Mohawk aircraft, King Air aircraft, a water tower with huge concrete modules, pipes and other submerged structures. There are manta rays, dolphins, pelagics, friendly estuary dolphins as well.
For guided trips or diving courses, consider Bundaberg Aqua Scuba and 3D Adventures, both of which offer great shore dives and exciting four-day open-water diving courses.
The Barolin Rock shore dive site is great, providing plenty of colourful hard and soft corals to explore only a few metres from the shore. You’re also guaranteed to see small to medium sized species of reef fish and many other exciting marine animals, rays, turtles and even sharks.
Bundaberg Rum Destillery Tours
Fancy a fascinating walk through this rum destillery? And they don't just have ordinary rum, great varieties. There is even a special tour to blend your very own rum.
Whilst you're on the liquids track, don't forget to swing by Kalkie Moon distillery and brewery or
the Ginger beer factory, very close to the rum factory. you will spot the big barrel on Bargara Road in Bundaberg.
