Campground
“This is one of the best spots for driftwood and for agate hunting. It's a drive, but the roads are nice to get there. You will loose cell phone reception and likely not have any/much reception when getting there. There's a campground and bathroom facilities. There are some challenging hikes to get to them, but beautiful waterfalls in the area. ”

Ferry Beach park has an abundant amount of trees that provide shades and a nice beach front where you can bask and play in the sun. Has gorgeous views too. Grab the beach chairs and umbrella from Wishing Well and enjoy a summer day. Sun in the fun. ”

“One in five beaches in the world made up of smooth, limestone rocks. The water is clear, cold and deep. Remember to leave the rocks on the beach for others to enjoy. Taking one will result in a $250 fine per rock!”

Trail
“(2.5mi, moderate): Trail, with many stairs, follows the river offering views of waterfalls and rapids. A 50-foot waterfall mysteriously disappears into a hole in the bedrock. Try your luck a catching brook and rainbow trout. Directions: 4.5mi west of Hovland on Highway #61 to Judge C.R. Magney State Park. (5min drive from Hovland)”

Trail
“Trails that go in every direction, but all lead to a must see 3.1 mile loop feeding into Pincushion overlook. Also a great place to mountain bike and cross-country ski. If you are feeling adventurous, take the superior hiking trail down (behind) Pincushion. The long set of stairs leads you the Devil Track canyon- beautiful swimming holes abound (and two awesome campsites). ”

Trail
“If you're a beach lover, you'll love the Lake Michigan beach here. It's usually pretty quiet and you can always find Petoskey stones. There's also a trail to stretch your legs, a viewing platform (or selfie station), and a kiosk with interesting history about the the first logging settlers and a very sad story of the traffic death of a young hand on the sawmill dock.”
