Sightseeing
This bird sanctuary is a wonderful place to spend a few hours meandering through the jungle on wooden walk ways and spotting all the amazing coloured birds that live here - a photographers play ground. Fun for kids and grown-ups alike. My favourite part is having a bite to eat at the restaurant; it overlooks the dam and you get to watch the bustling lives of the water birds.

Monkeyland and Birds of Eden can be visited as a package. Monkeyland is a guided 1 hour tour and Birds of Eden is at your own pace. Monkeyland is really funny if you love monkeys. You get to see these special creatures up close and observe all their funny antics. The guides are usually very knowledgable and you can even request a tour in different languages. I have found that it is not really suitable for kids under 4 as they prefer to go at their own pace instead of following a guide :)

Monkeyland and Birds of Eden

Food scene
This is my favourite place in the Crags and our local hang out for my daughter and myself. The food at the coffee shop is great value for money; the products in the shop are all freshly supplied from the local dairy which is a family run business and they seem to really take care of their cows and don't use harmful growth hormones.
It is also the perfect stop over on your way to or from Nature's Valley which is my favourite beach... but more on that in the next section

This restaurant and winery is a real treat to enjoy a stylish lunch. The tables are situated amidst the vines and their Tapas style dishes are delicious. The wine is good too and taste so much better when sipped where it was created. It is the oldest wine estate in the Crags and the only wine-maker. All the other vineyards bring their grapes to Bramon to be turned into wine. Not suitable for younger kids as the atmosphere is very serene.
