Edinburgh Castle is ideal for history buffs. It's definitely worth a walk up to the front gate even if you don't pay to go inside, and fun to photograph the Castle from the west end of Princes Street Gardens.

If you are interested in the history of Scotland, this is a must see! The museum is s stunning mix of old and new architecture, and has an incredible variety of exhibits. We also recommend a visit to the roof deck for beautiful city views (it's usually only open on sunny days!).
