Fantastic views from this lookout. Part of a great little drive from the cottage to Ardara, where I recommend Nancy's old traditional pub for some great seafood.

Rossbeg Pier
This is the second stop on the scenic route to Ardara.
This is a stunning look out at the tallest cliffs on the mainland of Ireland.
Please note there are two car parking spots. The first is at the bottom and the second is through a gate and a few mins drive to the top.
Park at the bottom if you like a 30 min walk and park at the top if you just want to stretch your legs and see the cliffs.
PLEASE REMBER TO CLOSE THE GATE WHEN ARRIVING AND LEAVING. (There are wild sheep that will escape if you don't)

This is a stunning look out at the tallest cliffs on the mainland of Ireland.

Fintown is a picturesque little village on the Finn valley. I highly recommend taking a spin on the Fintown train. It is only a short trip 20 mins or more. It journeys along the Finn lough.
I just love this little trip.

I highly recommend this route when on the way to Glenveigh National Park.

Take a trip out to Arranmore Island. Only a short ferry ride from Burtonport pier.
A fantastic day out for a walk around the Island. I recommend taking a packed lunch and walking to the lighthouse at the north of the island. There are los of places to stop and have your lunch on this walk.
Head back to Phil bans for a tasty guiness.
Or if you prefer to have some pub food then Early's bar is a great spot.

My advise is to travel the fanad peninsula in a clockwise direction.

The town of Ardara is a very cute town to walk around.

The famous Lea's tavern is home to Clannad and Enya. There is live traditional music most nights and the food is good honest pub fair.
I highly recommend a night here.

Bad Eddie is an old boat wreck on the expansive Bunbeg beach. You can walk for hours here on this beach. Great for an evening walk before or after dinner if dining in the Gweedore area.
The Ivy restaurant is a great spot also Sean og bar and restaurant.
