Portobello is Edinburgh's beach suburb and has a promenade along the beach and a Victorian swimming pool with Turkish bath. Skylark is a great bet if you want to come in for a wee pick me up.

This is an easier climb than Arthur's Seat, and is also closer to the city centre, but Calton Hill offers some superb panoramic views of the city. Great photo vantage point!
