I hear it's the hottest place in town for quality eats. But you probably need reservations at least a month in advance (hence why I can only recommend based on reputation, not experience) 🙂

Fancy a walk by the river, coffee or tea in hand? You must check out High Five coffee in Woodfin. It's housed in a cute cottage with Adirondack chairs and lovely vistas. There's another High Five coffee in downtown Asheville, but I'd really recommend checking out the Woodfin location as it's closer to the house and really exceptional!

It's just as historic as the Biltmore, but you don't need a pricey ticket to visit. You can grab a drink at the bar, take in the stunning vista, or curl up by the enormous fireplace. They also have several upscale restaurants, which usually require a reservation.

Floating down the French Broad River is a great way to relax and stay cool. There's a couple different outfits that will provide tubes and shuttle services. I had a positive experience with Zen tubing. Just be sure to confirm which location they're operating out of. Last I was there, they were only running the Brevard/South location, not midtown.
