Shrewsbury is one of England’s finest medieval market towns, boasting over 600 listed buildings plenty of timber-framed black and white buildings, the castle, now a regimental museum, Shrewsbury Abbey, and the 18th Century Shrewsbury Prison. The River Severn forms a loop around the town centre offering gentle riverside walks or a trip on the pleasure boat, Sabrina. If you fancy a bite to eat or a bit of retail therapy the town offers a wide selection of gastro pubs and eateries and interesting boutique shops.

The Bothy is 3 miles from Shrewsbury - there is a bus which passes approx every hour and the trains station is 3 miles away. There are no shops/pubs within walking distance
