The main entrance is on the other side of the park accessible from Connecticut Ave. In the spring, summer, and early fall, the zoo and its animals are on full display. In the winter, the zoo is festooned with winter lights and becomes a seasonal draw for residents and tourists alike.

Hugely popular among young adults and young professionals.
