Neighborhoods
Little Russia is an area in San Francisco that extends along Geary Blvd from 15th Avenue up to Russian Orthodox Church on 26th Avenue. The neighborhood was established in the 1920s and continues to thrive with many Russian-Americans calling it home. There are also several places to get authentic eastern european food and drinks in Little Russia. Visitors can get a feel for Russian life without ever living San Francisco.

Sightseeing
All of these sightseeings are within walking distance from our home. Please enjoy it!
The Holy Virgin Cathedral, also known as Joy of All Who Sorrow, is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in the Richmond District of San Francisco. It is the largest of the six cathedrals of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia. Very beautiful cathedral with a rich history. Open to the public almost every day. Best to at least wear pants and shoes (rather than shorts, flip flops) and women should preferably wear a dress, but really it is your choice. That being said, it is not something you should flock as a tourist and need to be respectful to its purpose as a church.

This is A beach that is conveniently located near our house here in Central Richmond! Nice little secluded cove with views of the Golden Gate Bridge tucked away in the affluent neighborhood of Seacliff. It looks like Baker Beach, but much more private. On a nice and beautiful sunny San Francisco day, there's no place I would rather be. Not a lot of people know about this place so let's keep it a secret!

Let's be honest, it really doesn't get any better than Lands End Trail. The entire trail and its surroundings are simply magnificent. Views include the Pacific Ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge. You must walk the trail yourself to experience what beauty and nature is all about. This trail isn't long or even difficult. According to alltrails.com, the entire loop is only 3.5 miles. About 2 miles of the trail is on the edge or where the land ends. But it's not too close and it's safe. The trail is wide, shaded, and for the most part, it's flat. There are some inclines and stairs that can be tough if you decide to make it a workout. Otherwise, I don't consider Lands End Trail tough. It's more like nature walk. A lot of people consider Lands End Trail as one of the best hikes in San Francisco. In my experience, Lands End Trail is the most beautiful trail that I have ever be on. There's so much to do, see, and explore on this trail. From the lush & gorgeous landscape to the beautiful Pacific Ocean, Lands End Trail is amazing.

Who knew a bridge would be one of the most popular landmarks in the country? I guess its beauty could answer that question for you. Just like you would expect, it's amazing to see it in person. There are tons of different areas that you can go to for different points of view. There's a really nice Welcome Center with some cool gifts, and monuments outside that share some of its history. I think it's a no-brainer that you have to see it at least once. Why else would it be so popular??

Golden Gate Park is huuuge!!! It can be overwhelming, so better look into it if you're not a local to see what part of it you'd like to conquer. It's beautiful, lush, full of greenery, an oasis in the middle of the city. You can choose among many attractions to visit spread out through the park: De Young Museum (check the top floor for views - wonderful museum and area surrounding it), The Japanese Tea Garden (it's a must), SF Botanical Garden, Stowe Lake & Strawberry Hill, California Academy of Sciences, Conservatory of Flowers, the cute Carousel, the Arboretum, etc. There are many gardens, lakes, waterfalls fun to explore.

If you're into beautiful coast views, abandoned places, or graffiti art, Sutro Baths is your spot. At the turn of the century, a millionaire built a large public bath filled by the Pacific Ocean water. At its height, a glass pavilion protected the baths and thousands came to enjoy it. Then the Great Depression hit. A 1966 fire put the baths to its final death. Today all that remains are concrete slabs along the rocky Pacific Ocean coast. There's graffiti on the concrete. To add to the beauty, the views of the coast are gorgeous here, especially the sunset. There's a little cave off to the side that leads to a lookout spot. Above the tunnel is an actual lookout area with views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

I love ocean beach. You can usually find free parking parallel to ocean highway on the opposite side of the ocean. Walking through the sand can be a bit tough but it's worth it. On a clear day you can see forever and the water is nice and emerald green/blue nearer the shore the water is clear. During the summer/fall months you can walk the beaches and find sand dollars. I'm not sure if you are allowed to take them but a lot of people do. It's a nice relaxing way to get some beach time. There are restaurants nearby in the sunset district and you can always go to Sutro baths/cliff house. There aren't bathrooms around this beach. Be prepared to get some good sunset pics too.
