Award winning Indian restaurant. Outstanding Indian food made with freshly ground spices. We have been going there for years and the only downside is that we cannot eat Indian food anywhere else because it will never live up to the V & S! We tend to order curry from the take away menu rather than the restaurant menu. We are locals so you would have to check with the staff first.

This is a great place on a summers day as you can sit by the river and watch the boats go by. It is open from 8am all day so you can have breakfast, coffee, lunch or supper. It is open in the evening from April-September. The downside is on a very sunny day it can be very busy.

Things To Do
There is so much to see and do in Oxford. The best bit is just wandering around the college back streets. The visitor centre is in Broad Street and you can get a map and plan your trip. There are many organised tours starting in Broad Street or hop on an open top bus and explore that way. Visit the Radcliffe Camera, the Sheldonian Theatre, the Bodleian Library, Christchurch Meadows, University Parks and the Botanic Gardens. Museums The Ashmolean Museum, founded in 1683 has world famous collections. The much loved Pitt Rivers Museum is unlike any other. Founded in 1884, it houses within an atmospheric building more than 500,000 objects. The Oxford University Museum of Natural History was founded in 1860, it holds an internationally significant collection of natural history specimens in a stunning neb-Gothic building. Admission is free for the museums but they would be grateful for a donation. Visit as many of the colleges as you can.

A luxury outlet shopping mall with up to 60% off over 130 designer brands. It is incredibly among the most popular tourist destinations in England for foreigners, along with Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. My tip is to get there early in the morning and have a coffee before the shops open. The weekends are to be avoided if possible as it becomes so busy.
