Food Scene
Spectacular 10th story oceanfront views, wonderful fine/casual dining, with warm and friendly wait staff says it all. Parking is a challenge on rainy days if none is available adjacent to the Inn's entrance & restaurant West of 101, since you will need to park in the lot across the street and walk beneath Hwy 101 through car and pedestrian tunnel. Well worth the access challenge, even on rainy days.

Locally sourced and always fresh seafood. Just click on their website's menu for the range of delicious and incredible looking and tasting dishes. Fished out, they also have steak.

Sometimes might forget to chew, when looking out the window and seeing whales spouting both out there and also close in, near shore. If you want a good window seat be there at 11am when they open or call and make a reservation (never have, since always go when opening).

Getting Around
About 15 minutes north of my place in northern half of Lincoln City. Does not offer car insurance so need to be sure your carrier covers rentals (usually based on vehicle size).

Seems like a strange place to find public transportation but that's exactly where you'll find it. Right in front of Ace Hardware.
$1 each way does it for most of Lincoln City, on what is called the Lincoln City Loop Bus operated by Lincoln County Transit. Seven round trips a day from the front of Ace Hardware on SE Hwy 101 in Lincoln City north to the DMV which is north of Safeway and Casino, Just a six block walk from my home starting at 8:36am and returning at the Glass Studio across the street from Ace at various times (7) throughout the day until around 5pm.

15 minute drive south of Lincoln City find the Depoe Bay, Whale Watching Center run by Oregon Parks & Recreation Dept. The whales don't seem to mind when the building is closed, they show up anytime.
