The bar and food area are so down home and friendly, with the best mac and cheese ever, and there is a theatre next door and sometimes a bluegrass trio in the food area. It's proper old Brooklyn via New Orleans.

The view from the Promenade is worth it, the Statue of Liberty is visible and the walk to it takes you through some of the most beautiful listed historic buildings of Brooklyn, like where Truman Capote lived, Henry Miller etc and the view from BK Bridge Pk from the deck at the water is stunning too.
