Food Scene

This restaurant is very close to the house Olive. It has a very private and calm atmosphere and the location is really romantic, under the pine trees next to an old church. The food is really traditional and tasty. Try traditional dish called Peka, meat and potatoes under the baking bell, that you should pre-order (by 3 PM). Cuisine: Mediterranean, European, Croatian Meals: Lunch, Dinner

If you go to visit Makarska stop to eat at Konoba Kalalarga. It is a small traditional restaurant in the Makarska old town. They serve daily menues, mostly fish, depending on the local fish catches. Fish you should definitely but also traditional vegetable and meat dishes, especially pasticada (stewed beef dish cooked in special sauce). Very good prices. Cuisine: Seafood, Mediterranean, European, Croatian, Vegetarian Friendly Meals: Lunch, Dinner, Late Night

Mala Barka Resturant in Tučepi is a restaurant I would definitely recommend for number of reasons. It is perfect for eating breakfast before the beach or dinner after the beach. Food is excellent, especially the meat dishes like pepper beefsteak. Fish and vegetables are very fresh. Prices are moderate and the service is very fast. Mala Barka is located right next to the beach so you have a perfect view. While the other restaurants closer to the centre of the village tend to be very busy, in Mala Barka you can enjoy your meal and the view in quiet atmosphere.

Forrest park great for hiking and with small beaches on the hiking trail. Osejeva is part of Makarska port that is " hugging " on the south side and protects against storms. The peninsula stretches from Makarska until Tucepi. The entrance to the peninsula with the Makarska is located near the eponymous hotel "Osejava" at the far end of the harbor. The peninsula is also the largest city park , which abounds with pine trees, a variety of plant species and rocks at the foot of beautiful crystal clear sea. On the peninsula Osejava look for smaller intimate beaches. Also on the peninsula , the famous nudist beach is Nugal. If you're lucky after a rainy day at the beach Nugal can enjoy in the waterfall.

The story of Split is already 17 centuries old, dating to the time the Roman Emperor Diocletian decided to build his Palace right on the peninsula near the great Roman city Salona, where he wanted to spend the last years of his life. During these 1700 years the Palace slowly turned into a city, which to this day lures with its rich tradition, glorious history and beauty of its natural and cultural heritage.
