This walk allows you to explore the coastline of Port Macquarie right from the heart of town all the way to the lighthouse - and everything in between if you only want to do a short segment. You’ll walk along paths, beaches and through rainforest. You can check out the local bus timetable for a ride back home, or arrange to have friend leave their car at the lighthouse for your return trip. If you’re really adventurous you can walk from the apartment to the lighthouse and back - about 20km. There are signs/maps along the way, following the river from near the apartment, along the break wall, and then it’s awesome views of beach after beach from there! From May to October watch the whales making their annual Journey. This is hands down the best way to explore Port Mac.
