Parks & Nature

It is a 30 minutes walk from my appartment and you'll have a fantastic view over the city. Next to the hotel/castle "Wilhelminenberg" is also a big greenfield to lie down, have a picnic or do some yoga practices.

Sightseeing

You can go there by bus (10A) in 10 minutes. The castle is really beautiful and used to be the imperial summer residence. The Baroque palace is one of the most important architectural, cultural and historical monuments in Vienna. You can take a walk in the park or go up to the "Gloriette" on the top of the hill and enjoy a cup of coffee with a scenic view of the castle.

Food Scene

An 8 minute-walk. Good, authentic Austrian food, pleasant atmosphere, the original Viennese beer "Ottakringer" (the brewery is across the street) and affordable prices.

Arts & Culture

The museum houses approximately 30 million objects and the number is growing. Behind the scenes, collections comprising some 25 million specimens and artefacts are the essential basis for the work of over 60 staff scientists. Their main fields of research cover a wide range of topics from the origins of the Solar System and the evolution of animals and plants to human evolution, as well as prehistoric traditions and customs. Also, the building itself is astonishing.

The museum's primary collections are those of the Habsburgs, particularly from the portrait and armour collections of Ferdinand of Tirol, the collections of Emperor Rudolph II (the largest part of which is, however, scattered), and the collection of paintings of Archduke Leopold Wilhelm.
