The best fish restaurant in Komiža situated on the beach close by the sea, very refreshing in warm summer nights. Great archeological collection of antique amphoras. Must try salted fish pie (komiška pogača).

Old guesthouse transformed in wine house where you can bite something cold like salted sardines or fish pie with a glass of very good home wine. Ideal break if you explore the inland or after swimming in Srebrena (our favourite beach btw).

Visit the island of Biševo for a day. Explore the Blue Cave by boat and go for a swim at Porat and Salbunara, the most beautiful sandy beaches on the island. Inland Biševo is worth checking too. We warmly recommend AMES TRIPS for this Biševo tour (you can find the boat AMES at the waterfront and book the trip with the owners - local family dedicated to their guests - they will cook for you and make you feel at home on their boat).

To hang out at night we prefer FRUTARIJA in Vis town with the terrace literally in the sea, stunning view, live music and excellent cocktails.

I wouldn't recommend this place as restaurant even it is possible to have lunch or dinner, but it's more interesting for breakfast or brunch and to hang out at night. Charming decorations, good music, drinks and cocktails... young guests love it.

Getting Around
To get around the area and explore the island the best way is renting bike, scooter or car. Rent a scooter and explore the island's hinterland for a day. Take the old road and go along the vineyards. Get down to Stiniva Bay; go for a swim in Srebrna beach; climb up Mount Hum and enjoy the best view of Komiža and the islands. When you get hungry stop by for a meal in one of the homey restaurants along the road.
And to visit Vis town you simply can take a bus in Komiža - check a schedule!
