Here is a list of fun things to do and places to see while you're here visiting. We have a binder with other places that won't come up like the Wright Brother's Monument, but these are just a few :)

This is one of the longest piers in NC. This pier has a great record for people catching fish. There is a small aquarium there too

There is a lighthouse here that is one of the tallest on the East Coast, and one of the oldest. You can clime up this lighthouse, but you'll need to wear sneakers.

This is a great day trip where you can take a ferry over to a small island and hang out for a few hours. In the peak season the ferry lines are long so we recommend going early. It's about a 1.5 hour drive to the ferry docks.

This is also a great place for the entire family to have fun. There are areas for the kiddos, and the adults to hang out and spend the entire day. Get there early to take advantage of the day pass.

Crossing over to Manteo will have many things to go see and places to shop. There is the Queen Elizabeth the 2nd which is a replica of the original boat that sailed over here many many years ago. The Lost Colony Theater which is the first outdoor play in the US that is about the Lost Colony. There are many other attractions over here so we recommend taking a half day trip at least to take advantage of the sightseeing.

The Lost Colony Theater which is the first outdoor play in the US that is about the Lost Colony. There are many other attractions over here so we recommend taking a half day trip at least to take advantage of the sightseeing.
If rum is your thing, or you like pirate themed stuff this is a great place to visit and get a free sample of the rum. These guys are great friends of ours so please tell them Joe, Mandi, and Brad say hello. They might even tell you some funny stories about us haha.

Kill Devil Hills Rum

Carova Beach

They just passed a seasonal requirement for permits needed, but it is a great place to come see the wild horses and hang out on the beach. REMEMBER YOU WILL NEED 4WHEEL DRIVE TO DO THIS!!!!! If you don't have 4wheel drive you can take tours up there.

If you're the adventure loving and thrill seeking kind of person this is a must do! Our friends Sven and Heather are the best skydiving company ever! You will have the BEST view while jumping out of a plane. If jumping out of the plane isn't quite your thing, you can still go over and watch others land :) It's right next to the Manteo Aquarium.

You will have the BEST view while jumping out of a plane. If jumping out of the plane isn't quite your thing, you can still go over and watch others land :) It's right next to the Manteo Aquarium.
