This is a great 1.5 mile hike along a stream to a gushing spring coming out of a rock wall. There is a 40 mile drive to the trailhead, so you need to plan a 4 hour excursion.

The monument is part of the International Dark Sky Community- they often hold viewings at night, please check with the rangers to see if it might fit with your vacation. This monument is only 10 minutes from the lodge!
