Barbarells is a really buzzy bar, that happens to sell lovely food. It is a place for visiting in the evening, but not late into the night. There are tables outside, and the selection of cocktails is great. I drink gin, and the selection is good. Booking recommended.

Food Scene
Mexican, it is upstairs very close to the Pavillian Gardens and Opera House. The atmosphere is warm and chatty. Good food, large portions, all served freshly made. Not a quick fix. Booking recommended.

Parks & Nature
This is a short and beautiful way to get to see a 360 deg. view of Buxton and the surrounding area. Can be muddy, but not the wade deep type. Park at Grinlow car park( Camping and Caravanning park Buxton) for a short but beautiful walk up to the folly, or walk from the town centre to go through the woods for a much longer stretch of the legs.
