Very family-friendly, with easy to intermediate terrain. It's a smaller mountain, but is located right in the heart of North Conway. The lift lines usually get pretty packed.

If I had to pick one "must ski" mountain in the valley it's Wildcat hands down, and it's only a ~20 minute drive through the beautiful Pinkham Notch.
Wildcat is the least crowded mountain around, and usually has the best conditions. Intermediate and expert skiers will really enjoy this. Amazing on powder days, and the view of Mt. Washington is out of this world!

Friends and family usually prefer Bear Peak over Attitash, which is right next to Attitash and can be accessed via a lift on the mountain.

King Pine Ski Area

Small mountain but has a large variety of trail difficulties. Usually the cheapest day ticket as well. Located in Jackson, which is a beautiful little town.

The world famous Tuckerman's Ravine is a 2.5 hour hike up Mt. Washington, and the reward is unbelievable! Ski from the headwall of the bowl all the way down to the parking lot. Experts only.
If you get there and the weather isn't promising (it can get brutal up there), drive an extra 5 minutes and find Wildcat, our favorite ski mountain around.
