It's out of the way location provides a unique, at-home atmosphere that only locals know about. The chef cooks up the best meals in the area and I personally love his chicken fried steak (lunch/dinner) and his Pipe Creek Plate (breakfast). On weekends, be sure to book a reservation because they are often booked solid, especially when there's live music in the garden.

If you're a pizza connoisseur I recommend this spot. It's not dine-in friendly, but there are a handful of seats available. I also recommend getting a large pizza and some wings.

Bandera draws thousands of tourists a year for its connection to cowboy heritage. The town is dubbed the Cowboy Capital of Texas for it's many shows, shops and eateries dedicated to the spirt of the cowboy. Take a day to visit the town if you can, there's always something going on.
