This place needs no introduction but it is a great place to sightsee, go on a wine tour, or grab a bite to eat.
If you are planning on visiting Avl more than once look into season passes. Two visits pretty much covers it 👍

Have a little fun
LaZoom tours are an incredible time! Family friendly and also bachelor/bachelorette party friendly. It’s one of our fav activities to bring friends who haven’t experienced Avl. Perfect balance of history and comedy.

Get out & hike!
30 minutes from downtown, this is a family friendly 1 mile (each way) hike up to some of the best views in the area. This is one of the easier hikes on the list but has incredible views!

This is a closer to town hike that is mildly strenuous but a wonderful hike. During the spring and summer months you’ll enjoy the the blooming flowers and be sure to check out the old remains of the mountain home

Mount Mitchell is about an hours drive from downtown but worth every minute. There are two trails at the parking lot. One is a quick hike and the other you can go as far as you’d like (12.5 miles out) and come back whenever. The main trail is intermediate to advanced with some light bouldering involved but the views are absolutely stunning.
