The Jim Thompson House, which is ranked as one of the most loved attractions in Bangkok city, stands as an historical architecture model while its small but distinct art collection serves as a museum. Jim Thompson was the American who created the silk industry in Thailand after WW II and he is considered to be one of the most legendary Americans in recent Thai history.

Famous Temple
WAT SAKET IN BANGKOK - TEMPLE OF THE GOLDEN MOUNT
It was the highest building in Bangkok, now the modern buildings of Bangkok’s downtown have surpassed it. Anyway, the Wat Saket remains one of the most loved Buddhist temples of the capital, and it is also an amazing viewpoint of the city. King Rama III ordered to build the temple, and for centuries, it was the symbol of Thailand. Now, it is open to tourists from all over the world that want to discover its history and enjoy the magic view from the top of the Phu Khao Thong hill.
The Wat Saket just outside the old Rattanakosin island area is one of Bangkok’s oldest temples dating back to the Ayutthaya era, which lasted until 1767. The temple was then named Wat Sakae. When King Rama I became the first ruler of the Rattanakosin Kingdom he ordered the temple to be restored and renamed it Wat Saket Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan, or Wat Saket for short.
