If you hike out to Ocean Beach, have some food and a beverage at Beach Chalet. They have a great grassy outdoor area, where on some nights have live music. Great for a picnic, and especially great for young children to play while the parents relax.
Fun fact: Golden Gate Park is larger than New York City's Central Park.
