Neighborhoods
Travel through this neighborhood to access unit. Speed limit is 25 mph, and does incline in elevation by 200ft. At the base of the neighborhood is Prichard State Wayside. This rest area can be used for estuary access for kayaking and fishing, although this area is heavily influenced by the tide. The view of Old Town across the bay with the bridge can be scenic.

Sightseeing
This State Park stretches on both sides of Hwy 101. The photo featured is top of the dune on Cleawox Lake (west). With multiple swimming and fishing opportunities, this lake shares its waters with summer camps as well as campers. On the east side is Woahink lake (much bigger) shares it’s waters with recreational users and lake shore housing. Both lakes and State Park are located 2.7 miles from unit with the travel time of approximately 5 mins. It is common to have bookings who are visiting friends/family staying here. Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park

Woahink Lake is one of the deepest natural coastal lakes in Oregon. Apart of Honeyman State Park, this lake features large open spaces with picnic tables, boat ramp, and a roped-off swimming area.

Located 3 miles from the unit, the entrance to this recreational area will lead you through various walking trails from the secondary dunes all the way down to the primary dunes which sit close to the ocean surf. This road leads you to the south jetty of the Siuslaw River, where many wind enthusiasts have been seen surfing and sailing the strong coastal breezes of summer.

A summer tour of the Oregon Coast Highway's distinctive bridges showcases the handiwork of State Engineer Conde B. McCullough, who believed bridges should be as elegant and enduring as they were economical. Florence being home to one of his famous bridges. The Siuslaw River Bridge.
McCullough's legacy lies in the nearly 600 bridges he and his staff designed and built in Oregon during the years between the two world wars, most notably several beautiful bridges along the Oregon Coast Highway, bridges he called "jeweled clasps in a wonderful string of pearls."
