The nearest fishing village very quaint..it also offers a variety of bars and restaurants offering mainly local cuisine, (Fish called Espada Preta), is a must, the bars tend to offer a variety of local drinks and cocktails, Poncha a blend of Fire water with lemon juice and honey...try it if you can...strong but delicious. It is only 10K from Funchal and there is a footpath along the cost to take you there!
