This is our absolute favourite source of delicious take away fish and chips down at Burrill Lake just south of Ulladulla. The waiting time can be half an hour if you go at lunch time on weekends or holidays, but it's worth it, or try calling ahead with your order. We take ours across the bridge and down to Dolphin Point, to sit in the car while eating, and watching the surf crash on the rocks around the beach. Sometimes you may also spot on the beach just around the bend a fabulous rock sculpture garden... until it is washed away by stormy seas.

This lookout, surrounded by the vast Morton National Park, is accessed via the Braidwood Road behind us, gives a good view across to the coast from behind Wandandian. From here, continue a bit further south along the Braidwood Road to Tianjara Falls, which is just a 30 second walk from its carpark, very close to the road.

A delightful day trip from here, with various side trip options along the way. Some great classy shopping to be had in Bowral's main street (Bong Bong St), and beautiful Repton Park and Golden Vale nearby (Nat Trust properties), as well as Autumn Open Gardens.

It is at the end of the Naval College Road which runs the length of Booderee National Park, and is accessed by a 5 minute walk through light bushland from the carpark at one end, or the boat ramp entrance at the other end. It also affords the closest views of Bowen Island, which is home to a protected penguin colony of some 5000 breeding pairs.
A delightful combination of natural regional native bushland on one side and on the other, more cultivated interactive arena and colourful flowering species with also a delightful rainforest walk, and a large lake that can be skirted by a lengthy walk (take bottled water, and the path on one side not recommended for those unsteady on their feet).
