The hill that sits behind the village of Golspie with it's imposing statue can be seen from miles around. A well worn path takes you up the front of the hill and a longer, more gentle path weaves around the back of the hill. With wonderful views from the top, the effort of the walk is well worth it for those fit enough to do so.

Ben Bhraggie

The Loch Fleet nature reserve is a wonderful local gem. Best accessed by following the road that takes you out past Golspie Golf Club, there is a world of nature and scenery to be explored. This really is a very special corner of Scotland which we return to time and time again.

Golspie Golf Course is a wonderful course which is very much on the circuit for golfers touring the North and which is a great asset to locals. The first eight holes are very much links course before turning in to a more inland terrain. It really is unlike any other course I have played and I highly recommend.

Sharon and I live in Edinburgh and cannot tell you the number of times we have been looking for something here and end up finding the very thing in Lindsay's shop. They also have a smashing wee gift shop across the road. Minutes walk from Craig House it is well worth a visit.
