Getting around on Waiheke.

You can easily get around by walking or trying one of the islands' electric buses. There are bus routes to visit popular areas like Palm Beach and Onetangi. You can hire scooters, electric bikes and cars on the Island. To get out the far end and visit Man O’ War Bay you will need to drive, or catch the Man O' War bus transfer shuttle.

The Saturday markets is a must.

Great way to feel the local community, enjoy a coffee, but some local preserves, fresh produce & maybe some shopping. We recommend trying Green Revolution smoothies & Helios German bread & cheeses.

A movie night at our very unique cinema

Yes, Waiheke has a community cinema located in Oneroa near the library. Its a small space, but super comfortable with a selection of various sofas to enjoy. Great snacks too!

Holidays with kids

There are a couple of companies on the island that hire out portacots, highchairs, car seats and toys to make holidays that much easier. Little Oneroa and Palm beach have the best kid playgrounds. Wild on Waiheke is great with kids, who can roam free around the grounds. Check out Artworks during school holidays, as there is often fun activities and shows running for the little people.
