Considering just the beer...this place is just as, if not better than Root Down. Great spot to hang, however, this location is a couple miles away and not within walking distance (update 2022.. new brewery/restaurant on bridge street). They have a small kitchen that puts out some pretty good dishes. This place is for beer though.

Although not a Phoenixville based brewery, Conshy beer is as good as it gets. The bar is cool too with a ping pong tables, shuffleboard, and all sorts of games in the back. Food is good too. For cyclists who are have the stamina to make the trek down the SRT trail from Phoenixville to Conshy (about a 25 mile ride). The original Conshy brewery is a must stop along the trail.

The PXV brewery pioneer. Sly Fox is a couple miles away and outside of walking distance. Great beers and a family friendly restaurant setting. If in Phoenixville for the beer, this is a must stop.

Iron hill has great beer and an excellent menu. Its not local though. The atmosphere is always good and while it is a franchise it does have a local feel. Another good restaurant for a large group or a family.

(Hare's Hill Brewery) Although more of a restaurant than a brewery, SHG has amazing food and always has a great vibe. One of our favs but its not walking distance. Since its one of our favs, I will not rank the brewery but definitely recommend going.

Brick oven, Neapolitan style pizza. Our favorite thing to order is a Regina Margherita Pizza with a Ceasar Salad (bill is under $40 for two). Perfect with a bottle of wine (BYOB) which you can pick up in town or at the liquor store.

We were very sad to see Majolica close and were very skeptical of this place when it opened in its spot. Not to mention there is already a Greek restaurant on Bridge. This is a very unique dining location though. We have been pleasantly surprised at the wonderful place Avlos has become.
