Fun place to hang and meet people. Epic on Friday and Saturday nights. The bands are amazing. Owned by band leader Roger Kline. He appears now and again. Chuy is a great bartender and the staff are all awesome!

Golf course
Islas Del Mar is a beautiful golf course. Relatively new they offer 9 holes trice with 2 tee box positions on every hole. Itzel is a great cart girl and it’s a great course.

Food scene
Delicious food at a great price. The owners, Lance and Sara are friendly and knowledgeable. Say hello if they are there. I recommend the Prime Rib and Pork Ribs. The bread is fresh and tasty too!

Regina is a quaint place with awesome drinks and food. Located just before you get into El Malecon, La Cocina de Regina hits it dead on with their fine Mexican cuisine. A definite spot to go.

Taxis are available or drive yourself.
The town is relatively small and easy to get around. Police are very nice but will pull you over for running stop signs and speeding. Be polite. It is normal to offer to drive to the station to pay a ticket. They are not kidnapping you. Typically a ticket will cost $50. Apologize and thank them for keeping the town safe. They just might lose interest in you by the time you get to the station.

Step into Mexico and respect and enjoy the culture.
Although Puerto Penasco hosts a lot of American and Canadian visitors and residents, remember...you are in Mexico. One thing that you will notice is people will say Buenos Dias or Buenos Tardes before they say anything. The greeting in Mexico shows respect, class and friendliness. When walking into a restaurant, your first words should be HELLO or Buenos Dias (Tardes) or whatever greeting is appropriate. Never walk in and say, "Table for 4"! RUDE!
