Brewtown Upper Hutt is Wellington’s only craft beer village with a number of great craft breweries (with good food) and a boutique distillery and within walking distance of the Upper Hutt train station. Recently, Brewtown unveiled their 4500 sqm entertainment complex, complete with mini golf, ice skating, paintball, ten pin bowling, cart racing and a trampoline park. Flat easy walking tracks near the Hutt River. Can be accessed from Barton Road or Brentwood Street. On a Saturday afternoon in the summer there will likely be a couple of games of cricket being played and you can sit an watch them under the shade of a tree.

The Hutt River Trail runs the length of the Hutt River from the Petone Foreshore as far as Kaitoke Regional Park. A great biking or walking trail.

Easy walking along abandoned logging tracks takes you from the carpark at the end of Karapoti Road to McGhies Bridge. From here it opens up to a number of walking or mountain biking tracks.
