Recommended by our lovely Jayne - Rother Valley Country Park consists of 750 acres of parkland. It includes areas of open water, grassland, woodland as well as footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes. A haven for wildlife, as well as a centre of excellence for education, water sports and other outdoor pursuits.
It also is now home to a family-friendly theme park, Gulliver's Kingdom. My nephew is a big fan... but he is also 2.

Trendy Eccelsall Road has it all - local shops, indie restaurants and a variety of nightlife. There is something here for everyone. Eccelsall road is Sheffield's most famous street - and we're right in the midst of it here at LIV Student!

To get a sense of Sheffield’s manufacturing and engineering heritage, there’s no better place to head than one of the oldest industrial areas in the city: the man-made Kelham Island. As well as ornate street signs, cobbled lanes and the odd gas lamp, evidence of Sheffield’s past metal works is scattered all around the area – with the Kelham Island Museum a good place to start.
Now it is home to local eateries, shops, and bars. If you ask me I'll tell you this is the best place in the city! There is truly something for everyone here.

Owned by Sheffield's own Ollie Skyes (bring me the horizon) this huge restaurant sells the best Vegan burgers in the city; not to mention amazing cocktails. Done with eating? Then go and play of some of the arcade games available on site.

Imagine the best bar you’ve ever been to and then add a first class dining experience, ten-pin bowling, ping-pong, pool and an unrivalled atmosphere into the mix. Only 10 minutes walk away too!
All in all, it’s a pretty cool concept, and you’re going to love it.
