Nearby beaches
You will definitely reach the most beautiful beaches of Paraty by boat (please see our recommendation about the 'Cais de Paraty'). However, there are two nice beaches at walking distance from the Historic Center, where you can go for a morning run, an afternoon stroll, a fresh coconut water, or even to try out stand-up paddleboarding.
Jabaquara beach is perfect for a morning run or afternoon stroll. There are also some nice kiosks serving appetizers, caipirinhas, cold beer, and coconut water. At Jabaquara you'll also be able to rent stand-up paddles and kayaks.
