Drink homemade Chhyang or Rakshi to go with it (local rice alcohol). The place is located just behind Krishna temple on Durbar Square. You can choose to sit in the dark ground oor - part of the experience - or on the small terrace on the 1st oor with a view on Durbar Square.

Ratnakar Mahavihar, the temple of the living Goddess, the Kumari House.
It is located on Gabahal road (the street that leads from Durbar Square to Pulchowk). Look for two big lions guarding the door and its sign indicating “Living Goddess”.
According to Hindu traditions, the Kumari, incarnation of the Taleju goddess, is a young girl chosen from the Buddhist community (religions are very inclusive here in Nepal). If you are lucky, you may be able to enter the house and get her blessing... Never forget to take o your shoes when entering the house, and make a small donation, when she offers you Tika (about 100 NPR).

A large pond hidden in the middle of Old Patan! Nice atmosphere with goose, old people hanging out and a 600 years old Stupa. Do not hesitate to bask in the sun, sitting on the Patti in the middle of the pond and enjoy watching life passing by.

Taxi drivers are normally reluctant
to go using the meter system. But
they have to, if you ask for it, as it is compulsory. For the relation to be win- win, a good way to do is to o er the driver to top-up the meter price by 200/250 NPR. It guarantees you to pay a proportional price wherever you are going and still makes the driver happy.
You can also use the InDrive App, it is very handy and often cheaper.
