I'm a city girl through and through but even I enjoyed this park! Absolutely stunning and clean, Freedom Park is nestled in an upscale neighborhood full of beautiful architecture. im general, the vibe is laid back and bursting with Charlotte life! It's an excellent place to meet people, take beautiful vacation photos, exercise, let the kids run free, or walk the dog!

Gorgeous location and area to drive through and sight see.
BEAUTIFUL town in the blue ridge mountains. Absolutely STUNNING views and could make for a fun day trip while . About 2 hrs out but worth every minute. I saw virtually NO fast food places while driving just quaint artisanal bistros, locally owned bars and five dining establishment so that speaks volumes to the lovely small town vibes you're going experience while there. I will stress that it is a DAY TRIP so come back before it gets too dark there are some scary turns coming down the mountain.

BEAUTIFUL town in the blue ridge mountains. Absolutely STUNNING views and could make for a fun day trip while . About 2 hrs out but worth every minute. I saw virtually NO fast food places while driving just quaint artisanal bistros, locally owned bars and five dining establishment so that speaks volumes to the lovely small town vibes you're going experience while there. I will stress that it is a DAY TRIP so come back before it gets too dark there are some scary turns coming down the mountain.
Food Scene
This is an unassuming spot with a secret menu! In peak economic times you can order all flats or all drums in whatever flavor you choose! The food shortages have affected that for the time being, but it's still an amazing place to go to for a nice night out. They have a full bar, military discount and offer some of the best southern hospitality and customer service you'll find in Charlotte. In my lengthy hero's quest for lemon pepper wings WITH the sauce, (not just the dry rub) they were the only ones that could deliver. My order is the 10pc Garlic Lemon Pepper wings ALL FLATS. Fried crispy 'cause I don't like soggy skin, w/ crinkle cut fries. I get an appetizer of fried pickles and churros for dessert when dining with someone else but if you're up for the challenge they can be crushed solo during a sports game. On days when I drink, OMB Copper for beer/ale or a Malibu Bay Breeze cocktail go well with the order from start to finish. Try it all and change your life for the better.

Wonderful southern chain, quality southern New Orleans style brunch true to it's origin and flagship location the Ruby Slipper in New Orleans, LA. Fully stocked bar and relaxed vibe. Get there before 0900 or expect a wait.

Amazing food hall!!!!!! My favorite is a pepperoni pizza from AVA. It's high quality meat and ingredients pair nicely with the "Flower child" cocktail from the bar right across the aisle. An amazing place to come hang out but it fills up quickly EVERY DAY so either take a lyft/uber/taxi or get there early.

An amazing place to come hang out but it fills up quickly EVERY DAY so either take a lyft/uber/taxi or get there early.
Fantastic food and cozy southern diner vibes. Friendly service and very affordable. The surprise is they also serve alcohol and are generous with the mimosas. 4 minutes up the road from my humble lil' abode. Seriously check it out.

The best takeout soul food you can buy in Charlotte. PERIODT. 7 minutes away from the airbnb up beam road. they don't use any meats in their cabbage or collards in order to be vegan/vegetarian friendly. BUT magically not using meat doesn't take away from the taste. Somehow they talked to the ancestors and got their blessing to make delicious greens/cabbage with no meat (lol)...buy honestly worth every cent and it's black-owned!!!!
