Sightseeing
A little nature preserve in the heart of Hailey. Walk along side the river and through a canopy of aspens and cottonwoods. Find little river access points to soak your feet in the cold water. Listen to bird song. Find the bow bridge and bronze arrow. Smile and say hello to the locals as you cross paths.
Located along the Big Wood River, behind Della View and China Garden neighborhoods. You can access it from the north on Bullion near Lions Park or from the south from a foot path off War Eagle near Heagle Park.
Walk north alongside Broadford Rd. Turn left at Cedar and follow it all the way to the bend heading left to War Eagle. Watch for small footpaths welcoming you into the trees along the road.
Enjoy the winding paths.Bug spray recommended.

Walk down to Heagle park from our place. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grass or walk through the park to the river for a quick swim in the chilly mountain fed river. Be careful of swift currents and cold temps. We often just dip our toes and enjoy the gorgeous views.

Public Transportation
Mountain Rides offer electric buses up and down the valley. The closest stop to the studio is north on main about 2 blocks in front of DL Evans Bank. Check out their website for times and routes.

Thursday Farmers Market
Stop by for local food, treats, and trinkets every Thursday from 2-6 in the summer. Located at Roberta McKertcher Park. Head south on main from the studio. One block past the light turn left on to 3rd. The park is between 3rd and 4th on main.

Friendly Small Town
Hailey is the heart of the valley. It is where most of us locals live. We tend to know someone everywhere we go. Customarily we greet everyone as a friend with a kind smile and hello and often, Hey how are ya? It is easy to fit in and strike up a conversation with just about anyone.

Care for our lands
We live in and next to national forests and vast wild areas. Please keep these tips in minds with recreating here. 1. If you pack it in, pack it out. Pick up all your trash and take it home. 2. Hike on trial to avoid erosion. 3. If it is muddy turn around so you don’t cause damage to the trials. 4. Park in designated areas. Hot engines parked on dry vegetation can start fires. 5. Don’t pick wildflowers, many are protected and this ensures they will be there to enjoy for years to come. 6. Drown camp fires until the are cold to the touch. 7. Be bear aware. 8. Check fire regs with the rangers.
