The most important monastery of Mani is Moni Panagia Giatrissa. It makes a beautiful hike with breathtaking views from Milea. G.Map will show you a 2h32min hike from Milea but there is another shorter path that you can find at the exit of the village.

The Gorge of Ridomo is a beautiful gorge above Kardamyli! You can make it a daily walk from Kardamyli or you can head for the shorter way starting from Φαραγγι Ριντομο near Anatoliko village.

DAILY TRIP IDEAS IN MESSINIA
Day 1 : Kardamyli old town and its surroundings : Ritsa beach, Anokhi shop, Aquarella cafe, etc.
Day 2: (recommended in case of rainy or cloudy weather) a tour of the Byzantine churches, passing through
- Milea
- Kariovouni : must see the renovated olive mill
- Kastania : must see the Dourakis tower, the Church of Agios Petros and the taverna!
Day 3 : Archaeological Site of Ancient Messini – 1h50 - Polylimnio waterfalls - 1h drive from the site and 2h from Lagkada.

DAILY TRIP IDEAS IN LACONIA
Day 4 : Limeni (for coffee or drink), Aeropoli (market day every Saturday) and Diros Caves (must seen!)– stop recommended at Zervobeakos Handmade Pottery
Day 5: Tour of East Mani : you can create a loop going through the villages of Mezapos, Gerolimenas, Vathia, Porto Kagio, Alipa. If you are visiting out of the hot season, I recommend visiting Cape Tenaro (1h20 walk back and forth without shade).
Day 6 : Monemvassia – 2h drive
Day 7 : Elafonisos island – 2h20 drive to Pountos to take a 8 min ferry
