51 House is a touch off the beaten track, but another restaurant we love. It's on the water, the food offers a wonderful range in selection and pricing. There is a nice big bar, and on most weekends have live music.

North Carolina had only 3 plantations that had more than 300 slaves, Somerset was one of them. It was the sight of a remarkable reunion between slave and owner descendants. It's a very interesting stop if you want a half day outing.

Somerset is a larger site and long outing. If you're staying more than a couple of days and want a shorter outing, Hope Plantation is a lovely stop. Not much else in Windsor.

This little museum is off the beaten track, but an essential part of Edenton's History. A sweet little treasure.

Iconic House of Edenton. You can't come to Edenton and skip the Cupola House. There is a nice little house tour.

Make this your first stop when you come to town. A trolley tour runs from here that will give you a wonderful overview of the town and history. It has a lovely gift selection and interesting books on surrounding history.

A great historic local movie theater. We love this place.... When updating this, they were updating the theater after a flooding issue. They are working on serving food and liquor.
