Outstanding ancient and spectacular connection with the early development of this region. Look for the remains of old chapels and the sacred stones on long ago.

Simply amazing! A 'spine' of ancient tombs, some older than the Pyramids! There are standing stones, ancient artefacts and a powerful atmosphere that touches us even today.

The Crinan Canal stretches from Ardrishaig to Crinan. Cycle along it, drive up to Crinan and marvel at the nineteenth century engineering that built over 30 locks to enable goods to pass from the Islands to the markets of Scotland. A beautiful evening stroll too!

Not really a restaurant - an outdoor seafood shack with stunning views of Arran.

The fishing village of Tarbert is a must for a visit. Take morning coffee overlooking the marina, buy some of the best fish you have ever seen at a fish shop you will have to search out because it is so well hidden! There is a large Co-op shop there, as well as cash machines and small pubs and restaurants that are reasonably priced and very friendly.
