Avon Harbor has the best sunsets on the island, at least we think so =) You can ride your bike to the village off harbor road, in the evening and enjoy a beer at sunset.

Check out the Bodie Island Lighthouse on your way down Rt 12 to Hatteras Island, on the right hand side of the road you will see a sign for you to turn. Follow the road to the Light house!
