Amazing collection of indigenous creatures and so many interesting species. This is a pretty place to go with children. It's not too big as to get really tired, but it's large enough to spend some hours in there. Only 1 hour away from Elnatan.

A beautifully maintained house and picturesque garden heaving with roses. Formerly owned by famous author Jorge Isaacs, whose love story book "Maria" has been turned into a movie. People from all over Latin America come to visit this Basilica de Nuestro Senor de Los Milagros in Buga. The main plaza is a joy to walk with plenty of shops for you to browse. This church is only 1 hour away from Elnatan.

Then you get to the more modern mechanical methods used in the late 1800s and 1900s. Most impressive is the huge waterwheel. At the end there is a tour of the plantation house.
The sugar machinery aside, the grounds themselves are worth the visit. There are beautiful flowers everywhere and, if you watch, birds and butterflies. And the best part of it, is that this amazing place is only 25 minutes away from Elnatan.

This used to be a coffee farm and has been turned into a nature reserve; they also have a nice restaurant where they serve locally grown tilapias. The staff is super friendly and caring. The walk is demanding so wear appropriate shoes and drink plenty of water and bring your camera to take photos of all the beautiful flowers.
