Make sure you go to Island Gelato in the shipping container on the south side of Oneroa village - for locally made ice creams and gelatos - the salted caramel is out of this world.

Surprisingly this place probably has the best takeaway coffee on the island - grab a coffee and take the kids to the park or at low tide walk back round the rocks to Oneroa beach

Old fashioned fish and chips just the way they used to be (though Fiona tells me they aren't particularly healthy) eat them on the beach and get sand between your toes - simply awesome

Our favorite breakfast spot on the island. Best salmon scrambled eggs on Waiheke (by a country mile) and always excellent service. Arrive early and get a seat up front and watch the world go by.

It gets very busy and the service can be very slow but a great place for brunch / coffee or a long lunch and to watch the world go by. Nice views over the bay.

Ask for a seat outside for the best views in Oneroa (we think) though can get busy and as a result service is sometimes erratic, but worth it for the view. On a nice day with boats in the bay below this is hard to beat.
