沖縄県那覇市首里にあった琉球王朝の王城。
創建年代は不明ですが、第一尚氏による三山統一後に王城として確立されたとの記録があります。第二尚氏の尚真(しょうしん)王らによって拡張、整備されました。沖縄戦で焼失しましたが、一部が復元整備され、1992年「首里城公園」として開園しました。The royal castle of the Ryukyu dynasty that was in Shuri, Naha city.
There is a record that Ichinoshi's establishment as King's Castle after unification of Miyama. It was expanded and maintained by Shoshin king. Although it was destroyed in the battle of Okinawa, a part was restored and maintained and opened as "Shuri Castle Park" in 1992.

Good place to sample some traditional Okinawan delicacies is the Makishi Public Market. A small, two story building located just off Naha's famous Kokusai street. The first floor is a wet market of sorts where vendors sell fresh produce and seafood. It is air-conditioned, a nice respite from the humidity, and you are greeted with a cacophony of voices encouraging you to look and sample their wares.
